Celebrations

Hello again everyone. It's that time of year where we have a sigh of relief that the Christmas madness is over and then comes along "back to school" madness!! January is all about Celebrations and my layouts are all about birthday celebrations.
HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY
This is a double layout that I made and I wanted it to have the clean and simple look about it then using the chipboard pieces as the main feature .

The swirls was undercoated in a cream acrylic paint and when dry, Plaid glitter paint was applied over the top. The words were sprayed in purple spray mist.

The speech bubble was coated with Distress Stain in Black Soot and the words were painted with Plaid glitter paint......quick, easy and effective.

The star frame was cut in half then coated in Distress Crackle Paint in Brushed Pewter. The small star was painted with Plaid glitter paint.

18TH
My niece is now 21 so I thought I should really catch up a bit with her 18th birthday photos!
This layout is a bit "girly grunge" and it was good that I can alter the chipboard to suit the colours that I wanted.

The swirl and the 18th were both sprayed with purple mist. The 18th then had a light spray of gold over it to make it sparkle.

This heart arrow was simply sprayed with pink glimmermist. I also used this colour to colour the white flowers so they would all match.
Sometimes when life becomes a bit hectic, layouts can become simple and easy to make without stressing out about not finishing anything. So have fun and play.....
