This week's colour palette looks lovely and I am going to make the time to make a layout and I thought I would make a card as well!! Have fun and happy crafting.

Warm hands, warm Heart

What better way to spend a cool winter's day than to be scrapbooking/crafting. It's nice to have a break and have a warm drink in the winter sun to warm yourself inside and out. Catch up on your photo sorting, work out layouts you would like to do and finish all those projects you started and didn't quite finish. I know I always have at least 3 or 4 things on the go with more in mind!
 This lovely Kaiser mannequin was painted black and when it was dry, Kaiser black gem strips were adhered to the skirt section. Black sequins and black tulle were used to make the bodice. Roses of different sizes were adhered on the stand and neckline. The wings were made from Kaiser silk flowers folded in half with small silver fans on the fold. These were then glued on using a strong tacky glue. There are so many variations that can be used to make this mannequin the best dressed in town! Have a go and use your imagination and your scrap/craft stash.

Catch Up

I have had computer/internet troubles the last couple of weeks so today is a catchup on a few things. Here are the last 4 sketches & colur schemes for inspiration. The class calendar & shop hours for March will be updated as well. There will be more catch up bits & pieces in the week to come.

Sketch Layout

This layout is made from the sketch from the Color Room(see last post). I changed it slightly as I wanted to use bigger photos but the placement was similar. I had some extra photos so I made an extra page as well. The chipboard was inked then dry embossed then inked again in a different colour. The colours in the layout were the ones from the sketch. There will be more sketches to come.

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

If you want to have inspiration or challenge yourself each week I will post the palette from The Color Room for you to try. It is a wonderful way to inspire you to start scrapbooking on a regular basis. I may not make every palette layout but I will post the ones I do. You can even adapt the sketch to make cards but use the colour palettes. Remember that the sketches can be rotated around to give different looks for your cards & layouts.
